What's JdH's CiV MP Mod Manager? |
| The mod manager tries to enable mod support for Civilization 5 multiplayer games. |
|
How does it work? |
| It parses your installed mods in the CiV userdir mods directory (usually My Documents\My Games\Sid Meiers Civilization 5\MODS) and creates a list of currently supported mods. You can than activate the mods you want to play with. By clicking the 'Start CiV' button. All activated mods will copy their necessary files to the BNW directory (CiV Install Dir\assets\dlc\expansion2) while backing up original files. The CiV will be started through steam. In CiV's main menu. Singleplayer and Multiplayer should be replaced by JdH's modded multiplayer. If not: Click on DLC and make sure BNW is active. |

Some important notes about updates: |
|
Currently the standard C# click-once deployment with automatic updates it used.<\br>
But I also need to run some intern tests with the deployed version. I will therefore try to use the following update policy:
Optional updates (those you are asked for) are not considered stable. They are for
internal testing only!
Automatic updates aren't stable either. But those are updates I feel safe to use in public.

Known issues and limitations: |
|
Mods that alter the game database are not supported yet.
There is a problem with the load order of multiple lua files in a mod.
Some mods include lua files that won't be recognized ingame.
